Marie Jose Wouters-from Netherlands a long time friend of PCTC wites “ I have written a book on Saint Nicolas, a famous children saint and feast in The Netherlands. The book has been sold out by now! I am intending to give part of the earnings for a project. Now I am thinking whether that support could be utilized for a small library for the children and women in the villages who have learnt to read”
The First Library is inaugurated in Vallivagai village on 24.6.2009. The place to store the books is given by the villagers.. A volunteer from the village will maintain the library. Children and women can borrow the books. Small story books in English and Tamil, dictionaries, academic reference books for school going children will be available to start with..
